We were "deadly serious" in this pic from the front page of the Times-Picayune when we opened. The media didn't know what to make of us, but they sure took advantage of it at every turn. What a silly picture!!

 

This one was much better. Godz we hate to pose!

 

Of course, the point of it ALL, was Him....

 

The Golem of Azrael was created over a period of 4 months....

 

He was built on the bones of a hundred year old skeleton from the U.K...

 

and finished with grave clay, a variety of real feathers, hardened cloth...

 

and came to "Life" at our first Black Celebration.

 

 

It was a solemn and private event, no pictures until afterward.....when everyone was drinking out of the Sacred Chalice.

But, we went on to have other Gatherings.....and presented some great musical talent, including, Damien Youth, our official "House Minstrel

 

 

And, Trio Nocturna from Georgia....

 

and The Changelings.....

 

and Mighty Sphincter....along with 2 tons of Marshall stacks..

 

Everybody enjoyed our Annual Black Celebrations....

 

replete with weird photographic phenomenon,.

 

And our moldy, old couch....

No one cared, we were "family"....

 

and enjoyed eachother's company....
