Greetings
Well,
this page has needed updating for some time now!
In
about two to three weeks, we'll be moving to a small town about
25 miles Southwest of Alexandria Louisiana (that's about 275 miles
west of New Orleans).
Our
time in the Crescent City has run its course. I wanted to leave
in 2004, but..... Now, in 2006, the aftermath of Katrina has changed
the scope of the land forever. The New Orleans we came to know and
love exists no more. Actually, it was changing prior to the storm.
The hurricane was merely the exclamation point on the end of a long
sentence.
We
had a good run here. 16 years out of 26. Not too shabby! Thousands
of souls have passed through our doors and have hopefully come away
with something special to remember this place by. I will always
love this city and this house. For within both I have the fondest
and happiest memories of my entire life. And, no matter how the
city changes, those memories remain unsullied.
Where
one chapter ends, another begins. The Azrael Project continues as
the Westgate...goes West. The place we're moving to, believe it
or not, is even larger than what we have here in N.O., plus we have
15 acres of undeveloped, treed land to explore and ponder. There
are no zoning restrictions as it is "rural property",
so we can do with it what we please. It will take us a while to
redecorate as the whole damn town is stuck in the 70's. Now, as
much as I love and remember the 70's, the decor is something that
should have been forgotten a loooong time ago. But heck, when we
came to New Orleans, all of the walls were painted piss yellow and
we got rid of that post-haste. So, just give us some time to reinvent
and recreate the NEW Westgate. Keep tuned to our forum
for all the latest updates, and if they're slower in coming than
normal, please pardon us as we are without broadband and subject
to the whims of nature as satellite is our ONLY internet option
(with a dial-up back-up, of course for those foggy morns). But,
at least we can blast our stereos once again without reprisal from
the neighbors two feet away! You think the wild-life will mind a
dose of metal now and then?
Keep
y'all posted! And, thank you ALL for the past 26 years. Only time
will tell what's next.......
Amorte!
Leilah Wendell

A
Necromancer's Prayer
ille osculum tuus tranquillus, frigus oris
prudens ille hic memoria volo esse meus ultimas.
(English Translation)
To thee, I surrender, my heart, my soul, my trust.
It is with Faith that I fall into your mighty wings.
It is with love that I offer up the chalice of my heart,
Drink deep of my life that I might know the depths
of the river of Forgetfulness and Memory.
It is without fear and with true desire
that I kiss your still, cold lips
knowing that this memory shall be my last
